My Birthday cake - La vie en Rose cake

Hi Everyone!

I'm so happy, finally i can share another creation i made. Rose cake is so popular that a lot of bakers alike had their own version and usually they do it in a round cake. Since it was my birthday last weekend (Happy Birthday to me! lol) By the way thanks to my friends, colleagues and family who greeted me. I really appreciate all your greetings and gifts. Pardon me friends if you didn't hear anything from me it's just i didn't had a chance to plan and celebrate a party. Instead i had a small dinner with my family at Max's of Manila Restaurant in Toronto. I was missing Filipino foods and what a better time go in Max's Restaurant (famous restaurant in the Philippines known for their crispy chicken). I had a good time spending good food especially their halo-halo (it's a popular dessert mix of shave ice, milk,sweets beans and fruits) and free birthday freebies it's a scoop of ice cream in custard and especially good times with loved ones. 

Fortunately, i had time to bake again and i will share to you a slice of my cake. Hope you guys enjoy this virtual treat as how my family like it and i enjoyed making this. 

The cake is made of Chiffon cake in real Yam (Ube) flavor with real yam fillings.

Frosting is made of flavored Ube Buttercream frosting.

I called this cake La Vie En Rose cake.

Mini-cake for Him

This cake is a replica of Tiffany's gift box. 

I made the design personalized gift for my guy cousin.

He had no idea that he will get his suprise birthday cake.

He appreciated this cake with a jolly smile on his face.

I made the ribbon brown to compliment the background color.

This cake is made of MM fondant in chiffon cake.

Another LV Replica Bag Cake

I'm guessing I'm getting good at making cake bags. This birthday cake is a replica of a Louie Vuitton ready full signature bag made for my older sister birthday. She had the same bag given as a present by her husband. YK is so happy with the result and making this cake. She was so surprise and very happy with her cake. A BIG smile will tell you how she appreciates and like it very much!

This is made of MM fondant. 

Designed was all hand made.

I was so happy in creating this cake replica. 

Cake flavor is mocha chiffon cake in buttercream frosting.

YK is proud making this personalized cake.

This is made of homemade Marshmallow fondant

flavor in Mocha Chiffon cake with butter cream filling.

The handle and the logo are hand painted.

I tried to paint the logo close as much as possible to the real one.

I think i made justice on it...

Nikon Camera Theme

This 3D cake is made for Ate Baby's birthday party. She just turned the big four-O and proud! One thing i certainly can say about her is that my hands are up on how this woman is so dedicated in taking care of her family. This 3D cake was inspired by her love for Nikon's Camera DSLR, it was one of her favorite gadget and hobby. Cake was made from Homemade Chocolate MM fondant in Mocha flavored cake with Mocha Frosting.

SuperMan Theme

My brother-in-law Steve had his birthday. He had eyes on collecting things and one of his favorite collectable collections are DVD's such as the hit TV Series Smallville Superman completed DVD series. So given this facts about him on his birthday celebration i made him this cool Superman cake made of course with his favorite flavor cake - Double Chocolate cake with homemade MM fondant.

Graduation Theme

My niece Ella just graduated and finished her Kindergarten year. Time really flies...i remember before she was just a baby, i used to baby sit her and now can't stop her from growing up. I wasn't able to attend her graduation day since i have work so i decided to make it up by giving her a  very cute graduation cake made just for her.  This is made of MM fondant made with her favorite chocolate cake with chocolate ganache frosting.

Bicycle Theme

I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing long weekend last week and yes, weekend is almost here once again so what's your plan for the weekend?

For Yummy Keyks first cake in July 2012, i was asked to do a Bicycle theme cake. It's for their boss birthday cake and their department will celebrate it at downtown Toronto office. She said their boss likes bikes and they would like to order a special customized cake for him. For the cake flavor i was asked to split 2 flavors. Her first pick was Mocha since mocha cake is one of Yummy Keyks best seller flavored cake. Then she decided the cake flavor split half and half between Mocha cake in Super Mocha Buttercream filling and other half is Ube Macapuno cake (Purple Yam cake with shredded sweet coconut - this cake flavor is very famous amongst Filipinos) in fresh milk buttercream icing with shredded coconut filling. Here's the bicycle cake:
