Mother's Day

I’m sure everyone did celebrate Mother’s Day yesterday. It was a wonderful day to honour our mothers, sisters, aunties, cousins and friends who are already moms or soon to be moms. I can’t express how just lucky I am to have a mother who’s there through out my existence. I adore her for being strong and a fighter! I owe my mother for who I am now and for the endless caring for me since birth and raising her big family is one a top job!. I can’t imagine how she did it. She’s such an amazing mother to all of us!!! 

For this Mother’s day celebration, I made them Filipino purple yam (ube) cake made with real ube (purple yam) top with light cream frosting and ube filling. I used natural food coloring to enhance the cake color but since the food color I used is natural it didn’t achieve that solid purple color that you see in bakery shop but then again it’s okay since the outcome is pretty cute and taste is heavenly yummy! The Ending, mommies were happy with their flowers, food, cake and their loved ones surrounding them. Such a great momma day!
