Mother's Day

I’m sure everyone did celebrate Mother’s Day yesterday. It was a wonderful day to honour our mothers, sisters, aunties, cousins and friends who are already moms or soon to be moms. I can’t express how just lucky I am to have a mother who’s there through out my existence. I adore her for being strong and a fighter! I owe my mother for who I am now and for the endless caring for me since birth and raising her big family is one a top job!. I can’t imagine how she did it. She’s such an amazing mother to all of us!!! 

For this Mother’s day celebration, I made them Filipino purple yam (ube) cake made with real ube (purple yam) top with light cream frosting and ube filling. I used natural food coloring to enhance the cake color but since the food color I used is natural it didn’t achieve that solid purple color that you see in bakery shop but then again it’s okay since the outcome is pretty cute and taste is heavenly yummy! The Ending, mommies were happy with their flowers, food, cake and their loved ones surrounding them. Such a great momma day!

Barbie theme

My niece is all grown up and time really flies!!! Her mom told me she's now picking her own cloths to wear. She likes Barbie so much that I made her a Barbie chocolate cake. I had so much fun making this and it felt like i went back from being a child once again. I wonder if someone will request for Ken! Hahaha joke... This Barbie was Princess Aurora and I made her a dress similar to what she originally wear in Disney movie. It's beautiful!

Mamu's Special Birthday Cake

My mom's birthday was on March 30th. I customized a special cake that will show her personality. She likes dozen of roses specially white roses and gardening. I made her 2 tier cake, the first tier i made was to represent her garden and top tier is a basket full of roses with ribbon bows. To her suprise, I saw her big smile again! luv it!!! :D

Fashionable woman and ladies alike love timeless fashion like the luxury brand Chanel. I made my elder sister a Chanel purse cake for her Birthday. It was a Vanilla flavor cake with custard filling and covered with MM fondant. See the details of the purse :)

Metallic Guitar Birthday Cake

My nephew is a fan of hard metal bands and likes to play electric guitars. I made him a life size Metallic guitar fondant cake similar to what he owned. It's made of mocha cake covered with chocolate fondant. I think this guitar rocks! Awesome \m/

It was covered with fondant and the string was made of icing.

Honestly, they don't want to eat the cake...

Ending up eating it anyways, it's a birthday cake! lol :)

50th Golden Wedding Anniversary

My parents had their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary last March 2012 and what a better way to give them special present is to create them a very special cake.I make sure that this cake will remind them of their wedding day and of course their lasting marriage that will last for eternity. I made them 3 tiers fondant cakes which are combination of Orange and Mocha flavor cake that match the Golden couple. It's so beautiful and memorable occasion! Dad and Mom was so pleased! :)

My parents have their own theme song sung my Paul Anka entitled "My Heart Sings" which was also the reason my mamu say yes to papsi when she was courted by dad back then.

 Cheesy but such a sweet story! For me it's sooo nice to hear their classic love story.

Dewalt theme

For any handy man, Dewalt brand is the most common quality tool brand they used and trust for all their hard work. Since my brother in law is a handy man I made him a Dewalt case with a drill. This cake was covered in Chocolate MM fondant  and in Mocha flavor cake with buttercream frosting. I'm glad my brother in law like it very much! :)

Nude Strawberry & Red Velvet Cupcakes

Fresh strawberries are healthy and what better way to eat them is to turn them into a special cupcakes. I decided not to put any frosting in it so that it may preserve the taste of the strawberry. I partner it with red velvet cupcake & mocha cupcake with no frosting since I want to taste the natural flavor of strawberry, the hint of natural cocoa and coffee flavor. These are good cupcakes for snack or tea time!

This is an X-Box cake with a life size controller for my nephew's birthday. It's made of mango flavor, very fresh and yummy! Cake was covered again with MM fondant. Birthday boy and kids love them!
